Full-Time Nanny & Family Assistant

Arvada, Colorado (Near 80th & Simms)

$25–$30/hour | Approximately 40 Hours/Week | PTO | Paid Holidays | Long-Term Position

Auren Households is seeking an exceptional Family Assistant & Household Manager for a warm, active family in Arvada.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who truly enjoys working with school-aged children while also taking pride in creating an organized, well-run home. The family is looking for a proactive professional who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and wants to build a long-term working relationship.

About the Family

Our client is a busy business owner and devoted father of two wonderful children, ages 7 and 9. He shares 50/50 custody and has an excellent co-parenting relationship with the children's mother, who lives nearby. The family values consistency, kindness, communication, and creating a fun, stable environment for the children.

Approximately 60% of the role focuses on childcare and 40% on household management, making this a perfect fit for someone who enjoys both.

Childcare Responsibilities

School pickup and transportation to activities
Homework support
Planning engaging activities, crafts, games, outings, and outdoor adventures
Preparing healthy meals and snacks
Encouraging creativity, independence, and positive routines
Supporting healthy boundaries with warmth and consistency
Providing full-day care during school breaks and much of the summer
Helping keep children's bedrooms, toys, backpacks, and activity spaces organized

Household Responsibilities

Grocery shopping and household errands
Family laundry
Kitchen resets and light household organization
Keeping household supplies stocked
Managing deliveries and returns
Coordinating with house cleaners and occasional service providers
Organizing closets, storage areas, toys, and seasonal items
Helping prepare the family's Fraser mountain cabin before and after visits
Calendar support and occasional project coordination
Identifying ways to improve organization and household efficiency

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who:

Has previous professional childcare experience
Truly enjoys engaging with children—not just supervising them
Is organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
Takes initiative and works independently
Communicates professionally and reliably
Has a dependable vehicle and an excellent driving record
Is interested in a long-term position with one family

Experience supporting children with ADHD is appreciated but not required.

Schedule

Summer Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours per week, with plenty of outings, adventures, and activities.

School Year A combination of morning support, afternoon school pickup, childcare, and household management during school hours. Occasional evenings, school breaks, and some weekends may be requested with advance notice. Schedules are shared well in advance through the family's Google Calendar.

$25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
