The Animal Clinic of Monett is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Associate Veterinarian position. Established in 1989, the Animal Clinic of Monett is a 5-6 DVM, fast-paced, true mixed-animal practice located in southwest Missouri. Our practice mix is 55% bovine (Beef 45% and Dairy 10%) and 45% companion animal. In addition, we also provide veterinary services to Joplin Regional Stockyards where we maintain an office on premises. Our clinic provides the best and most comprehensive medical, surgical and production care for our patients and customers.
Training Required:
DVM and ability to obtain Missouri licensure. Federal accreditation is also required.
Experience:
New graduates or seasoned practitioners are encouraged to apply. We are committed to mentorship and excited to assist newer DVMs develop in their careers.

Large Animal Facilities
- Haul-in facility equipped with a Flying W hydraulic squeeze/tilt chute, interior equine stocks and box stall
- 2 IBEX portable ultrasound units are available for on farm use & 1 Aloka for in clinic use
- Bowie portable radiology equipment
- We are in the process of building a second working facility to accommodate additional haul in work as well.
Small Animal Facilities:
- 4 exam rooms
- Surgery suite
- Dental services
- Digital radiograph equipment
- Two ultrasound machines
- Arthrex orthopedics equipment
- In-house diagnostics with updated Idexx laboratory (2 IDEXX Catalysts, SediVue & Procyte)
- Separate isolation ward and exam room
Other Personnel:
Currently we have 4 full time doctors, practice manager, eight full or part time veterinary technician/assistants, inventory manager, four kennel staff employees and receptionist team. We also maintain a full processing crew at the stockyards.
