Full Job Description

Project Controls Analyst – Nuclear Development

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Analyst to support large-scale Nuclear Development projects through comprehensive project planning, scheduling, cost control, budgeting, and performance reporting. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, analyzing project costs and variances, supporting forecasting efforts, and providing project managers with actionable insights to ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Primavera P6, Earned Value Management (EVM), cost reporting, and large industrial or infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
Perform project cost tracking, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies to measure project performance and identify risks.
Monitor schedule, scope, and cost changes while communicating impacts to project stakeholders.
Prepare project reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations using Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
Support project estimates, resource planning, contingency tracking, and financial forecasting.
Assist with annual budgeting, month-end/year-end close activities, and financial reconciliations.
Analyze budget-to-actual performance and provide recommendations to improve project financial performance.
Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, finance, and leadership to ensure project controls processes are followed.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for project controls, reporting, and budgeting processes.
Ensure project schedules are logic-driven, resource-loaded, and accurately reflect project execution plans.
Maintain project documentation, policies, procedures, and reporting standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of Project Controls or Project Management experience in an industrial environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Strong experience supporting large capital projects ($25M+).
Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
Experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
Strong background in project scheduling, cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and project reporting.
Experience performing detailed cost and schedule variance analysis.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word.
Excellent analytical, mathematical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

PMI certification (PMP, PMI-SP, CAPM, PMI-RMP, or similar).
Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Workday, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Asset Suite.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience supporting nuclear, power generation, renewable energy, heavy industrial, mining, refinery, water treatment, data center, or major manufacturing projects.
Experience with process improvement initiatives and project controls best practices.
