Full Job Description

Founded by a therapist, Smile Pediatric Therapy & Diagnostics has been providing therapy, assessments, and early intervention programs to infants, toddlers, and school-aged children for over 10 years. We are proud to offer collaborative, family-centered care in a play-based and nurturing environment.

We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapists interested in growing into a leadership role as an Occupational Therapy Supervisor. This position offers the unique opportunity to receive comprehensive mentorship and training to become a successful clinical supervisor, making it ideal for clinicians who are passionate about pediatric therapy and eager to take the next step in their careers.

Position Overview

As an Occupational Therapist at Smile, your day is centered around helping children build independence, confidence, and functional skills that carry into everyday life. You might begin your morning in the clinic supporting a toddler with sensory regulation through movement-based activities and fine motor play, then spend time collaborating with colleagues and participating in mentorship and leadership development activities.

As you grow into the supervisory role, you will receive hands-on training in:

Clinical mentorship and staff development
Treatment planning and quality assurance
Documentation review and compliance
Parent and team collaboration
Leadership and communication skills
Supporting and onboarding fellow clinicians
Promoting a positive and collaborative team culture

General Responsibilities

Provide treatment and assessments within clinic-based, school-based, and home-based settings.
Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
Complete daily session notes and required documentation.
Participate in and conduct parent trainings.
Assist with standardized testing, reassessments, and discharge reports.
Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other providers.
Participate in leadership development and supervisory training opportunities.
Must be willing to supervise up to 3 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants

Minimum Qualifications

California licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L, MA, or OTD)
Previous pediatric experience preferred
Supervisory experience is welcomed but not required
If no supervisory experience, at least 2 years working with the pediatric population
Access to a reliable vehicle and minimum liability insurance
Ability to serve some of the following areas:

Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, Koreatown, Downtown Los Angeles, Mid-Wilshire, Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena, and surrounding communities
