Full Job Description

Fabuwood is seeking a strong and driven Production Manager to lead a large manufacturing operation consisting of approximately 80 employees, multiple team leads, and three supervisors.

This role is responsible for overseeing daily production while maintaining a forward-looking view of one week to one month. The ideal candidate understands people, production, and processes, and can balance all three to achieve operational goals.

The Production Manager will be expected to drive performance, improve efficiency, maintain employee engagement, and ensure production targets are met while developing supervisors and team leaders.

Schedule: Mon-Thurs 7:30am-4:30pm and Fri 7:30am-12:00pm

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a production department of approximately 80 employees.
Directly manage and develop three supervisors and multiple team leads.
Maintain a production outlook ranging from one week to one month.
Ensure production goals, ETAs, and operational targets are consistently achieved.
Monitor and drive performance through hourly production boards and key production metrics.
Partner with Planning, Operations, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and execution.
Balance labor utilization and overtime to maximize productivity and control costs.
Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, throughput, and quality.
Address employee relations issues promptly and professionally.
Coach supervisors and team leaders to improve accountability, communication, and execution.
Ensure safety, quality, and company standards are consistently followed.
Create a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment.
Experience managing supervisors and large teams.
Strong understanding of production planning, labor management, and operational efficiency.
Proven ability to drive results and meet production goals.
Experience handling employee relations and performance management.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, or related manufacturing industries.
Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma experience.
Strong knowledge of production metrics and performance tracking.
