About Miradero Cybersecurity

Miradero is a specialized MSSP delivering high-fidelity security and compliance services to regulated SMBs (Healthcare/Financial) in Southern California. We are building a lean, high-density operation that prioritizes technical precision over corporate overhead. We are currently in the launch phase and seeking a founding operational leader to build our SOC from the ground up.

About the Role

We are looking for a Player-Coach. You will be the operational backbone of Miradero. In the early stages, you are the primary analyst—you will be "in the weeds" of every major incident. As we scale, your primary objective is to transform that tactical experience into a scalable system of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Playbooks.

You are not a "people manager" in the traditional sense; you are a Process Architect. You will define how we detect, triage, and respond to threats, ensuring that our "Miradero Way" is documented, repeatable, and measurable.

What You'll Do

Operational Execution: Act as the lead analyst for all high-priority incidents. You will handle the most complex triages and serve as the final escalation point before the CTO/Engineer.
Playbook Engineering: Own the "Brain" of the SOC. You will translate technical detections into step-by-step operational playbooks (SOPs) that allow Tier 1/2 analysts to execute with precision.
Operational Validation: Partner with the Senior Security Engineer to define the requirements for our tool stack (CrowdStrike/ArmorPoint). You don't build the plumbing, but you define exactly how the water needs to flow to make the SOC efficient.
Triage & Tuning: Lead the effort to reduce "alert fatigue." You will analyze false-positive trends and work with the Engineer to tune detection logic for maximum signal.
Team Scaling: Recruit, onboard, and mentor the first wave of analysts. You will be responsible for their "ramp-up" speed, measuring success by how quickly they can execute a playbook without supervision.
Client Communication: Translate technical incident data into clear, concise executive summaries for clients. You provide the "so what?" that turns a technical alert into business intelligence.
KPI Ownership: Define and track the metrics that actually matter: Mean Time to Detect (MTTD), Mean Time to Respond (MTTR), and Playbook Adherence.

What You Bring

7+ years in Security Operations (SOC) or Incident Response, with a proven track record of leading operational workflows.
The "Player" Skillset: Deep, current hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon, ArmorPoint, or equivalent enterprise EDR/XDR platforms. You must be able to hunt in the logs today.
The "Coach" Skillset: A compulsive drive for documentation. You believe that if a process isn't documented, it doesn't exist.
Incident Frameworks: Fluency in NIST or PICERL frameworks, with the ability to adapt them into lean, fast-moving playbooks.
Communication: Ability to remain stoic and methodical under pressure, providing a sense of stability to both the team and the client during a breach.
