Full Job Description

As a Human Resources Coordinator at Generation Auto Group, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department across multiple dealership locations. This position is ideal for someone who already has Human Resources experience and is looking to expand their knowledge while building a long-term career in HR within a fast-paced automotive environment.

You will play a key role in onboarding, employee records, payroll support, benefits administration, recruiting coordination, and HR operations. Your work will directly impact the employee experience by ensuring HR processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of Human Resources while working alongside an experienced HR team in a growing organization.

What You'll Do

The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding processes
Process new hires, employee changes, and terminations
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation within the HRIS
Provide exceptional customer service by responding to employee questions regarding payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and HR policies
Support benefits administration, including enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee updates
Assist with recruiting activities, including posting positions, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment requirements
Support payroll by reviewing timecards, assisting with corrections, and ensuring employee information is accurate in Paycom
Assist with payroll-related data entry and reporting
Travel to dealership locations throughout New York and New Jersey as needed
Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and assist with special projects as assigned

What We're Looking For

Minimum of 1 year of recent Human Resources experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, HR Administrator, HR Specialist, or similar HR support role
Experience working with employee onboarding, employee records, HRIS systems, payroll support, benefits administration, or recruiting
Experience using an HRIS or payroll system (Paycom experience is a plus)
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Reliable, dependable, self-motivated, and eager to grow within Human Resources
Professional appearance and demeanor

Please note: This position requires prior Human Resources experience. Applicants without HR experience will not be considered.
