Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Vice President of Patient Experience & Healthcare Contact Center Operations to provide enterprise-wide executive leadership over our patient engagement ecosystem. This is a C-suite-adjacent role built for a transformational healthcare executive who has spent a career at the intersection of large-scale operations, digital innovation, and patient-centered care. The SVP will own the strategic vision, operational infrastructure, and performance culture of our contact center enterprise — directly influencing organizational revenue, patient retention, regulatory standing, and brand reputation. This leader will function as a key voice in executive decision-making, with accountability that spans technology investment, workforce architecture, cross-functional alignment, and long-range growth planning.

Key Responsibilities

Set the enterprise-wide vision for patient experience and contact center operations, translating board-level organizational priorities into multi-year strategic roadmaps with measurable milestones and accountable execution plans.
Serve as the executive sponsor for all patient access, patient experience, and contact center transformation initiatives — aligning cross-functional leaders, securing resource commitments, and driving organizational readiness.
Represent the patient experience function at the executive leadership table, shaping organizational culture, investment priorities, and enterprise performance standards.
Benchmark performance against national healthcare leaders and proactively identify competitive gaps, emerging trends, and disruptive opportunities to position the organization ahead of the market.

Operational Governance & Enterprise Performance

Provide executive oversight of all contact center operations — inbound, outbound, and digital — across multiple sites or business units, ensuring consistent standards of access, quality, and patient satisfaction.
Establish enterprise-level KPI governance frameworks, SLA accountability structures, and performance management cadences that drive both operational efficiency and superior patient outcomes.
Own the contact center P&L, including multi-million dollar operating budgets, capital expenditure planning, vendor contract strategy, and ROI accountability for technology investments.
Deploy advanced workforce management, capacity planning, and demand forecasting models to optimize staffing, reduce costs, and sustain service excellence at scale.

Technology Strategy & Digital Transformation

Drive enterprise technology strategy for the contact center ecosystem — including AI-powered patient engagement platforms, EHR integration (Epic, Oracle Health), CRM systems (Salesforce Health Cloud), and omnichannel infrastructure (Genesys, Five9, or equivalent).
Lead the evaluation, procurement, and governance of next-generation tools including conversational AI, predictive analytics, intelligent routing, and patient self-service technologies at enterprise scale.
Partner with the Chief Information Officer and Chief Digital Officer to align contact center technology with the broader health system’s digital transformation agenda and interoperability roadmap.
Establish data governance standards, HIPAA-compliant system architectures, and real-time business intelligence capabilities that enable proactive, insight-driven leadership.

Executive Team Leadership & Talent Strategy

Lead and develop a high-performing executive and senior management team — including directors, managers, and operational leads — building the organizational bench strength required to sustain long-term growth.
Architect enterprise-wide talent strategy including leadership succession planning, executive coaching, competency modeling, and culture development programs that reinforce accountability and innovation.
Establish the SVP office as a center of excellence for patient experience best practices, internal consulting, and organizational knowledge-sharing across service lines.
Champion a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce strategy — building multilingual, culturally competent teams equipped to serve complex, diverse patient populations.

Executive Cross-Functional & Board-Level Engagement

Serve as the primary executive liaison to clinical, revenue cycle, compliance, IT, and quality leadership — ensuring that patient experience strategy is embedded in organizational decision-making at every level.
Present patient experience performance, strategic initiatives, and investment recommendations directly to the Board of Directors, C-suite, and external stakeholders.
Lead enterprise-level change management associated with large-scale operational or technology transformations, including stakeholder alignment, communication strategy, and adoption measurement.
Represent the organization externally at industry conferences, health system consortiums, and regulatory forums as a thought leader in patient experience and contact center innovation.

Qualifications

12+ years of progressive, senior leadership experience in healthcare contact center, patient access, or patient experience operations — with a minimum of 5 years in a Vice President or senior executive capacity.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
Demonstrated enterprise-level P&L ownership and capital budget accountability within a complex health system, hospital network, or large-scale managed care environment.
Proven executive track record of leading large-scale digital transformation and technology implementation initiatives, with measurable outcomes tied to patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, or revenue impact.
Expert command of healthcare contact center platforms, AI-enabled patient engagement tools, EHR ecosystems, and business intelligence infrastructure.
Sophisticated data fluency — ability to synthesize enterprise performance data into strategic narratives that drive board-level decision-making.
Deep expertise in healthcare regulatory compliance including HIPAA, CMS Conditions of Participation, and applicable accreditation standards.
Established reputation as a credible executive communicator and organizational influencer across clinical, operational, and technology domains.
