Description:
Under the guidance of the Director of Ecommerce, the Full Stack Web Developer will develop, maintain, upgrade and provide support for all of the companies’ external and internal websites and applications. The developer will need to have a working knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, and other programming languages. The developer will be responsible for the functionality of Adobe Commerce websites and internal web applications. The individual should be comfortable working with a Linux based operating system. The developer needs to be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and be consistently available to respond to help desk requests during company hours, with some after-hours, on-call responsibilities. The individual should be able to easily communicate technical concerns and solutions to many different people with varying degrees of technical knowledge as well as work with individuals in all departments to help solve their technical issues. This is at-will employment.
Requirements:
Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Full stack development for Adobe Commerce websites, covering theming, module development, and App Builder.

Perform code reviews and manage code deployment.

Maintain data synchronization between Adobe Commerce and 3rd party software integrations.

Write/Modify new modules for Adobe Commerce utilizing PHP, Javascript, and Adobe App Builder.

Design, develop and maintain LEAN applications/modules to improve internal applications.

Design, develop and utilize integration software to automate internal processes.

Identify and implement performance optimizations.

Own the full development lifecycle of internal applications, leveraging the right tools and technologies to deliver effective, user-friendly solutions.

Monitor critical systems daily and respond quickly to any security breaches or usability concerns.

Monitor, triage, and resolve internal and customer-facing technical support tickets from intake through closure.

Manage website backup systems and verify that backups have been completed.

Collaborate with other departments to initiate IT projects that will improve productivity of the company.

Competencies

Working knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Adobe Commerce architecture, including themes, module development, and Adobe App Builder.

Knowledge and experience utilizing Object Oriented Programming (OOP).

Fluent in the SQL language: SQL queries, views, triggers, and stored procedure to automate processes, run backups, and create complex reports.

Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Mysql server. Ability to continually improve databases via normalization to optimize storage and performance.

Working knowledge of the Ubuntu operating system and its associated command line interface.

Must we be comfortable and willing to use Claude.ai to help expediate code development and deployment.
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

2+ years of experience in an Adobe Commerce development role, preferably in a multi-store implementation.

Candidates with 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience are also strongly encouraged to apply.

Relevant technical certifications a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, however, will lead projects involving contractors or other 3rd-party resources.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Climate-controlled indoor manufacturing plant and offices. May be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb or balance. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Location & Hours
Hybrid work environment that can accommodate remote work with some regular need to be in the office (likely 1-2x per week). NK’s facilities are located in Boothwyn, PA.
Training
Most training is on-the-job but formal education and training may be provided where appropriate.
