BPG is currently seeking an experienced Prepress Technician. This position's duties include, but are not limited to:

· Fluent in prepress software; including Adobe CS, and Pitstop

· Sending jobs to hard and/or soft proof for customer approval

· Ability to explain Pantone Color Libraries, photoshop masks and layers to customer base

· Ability to work in a fast-paced sheet-fed press operations

· Must be able to work in a team environment and assist customer service with technical questions related to design and print

Required Qualifications

· Knowledge of advanced printing fundamentals.

· Knowledge of computers, page layout software and a basic understanding of CTP machines.

· Must understand departmental perspective/workflow and its relationship to overall productivity and how prepress affects other departments.

· Must be able to apply written instructions to job set-up.

· Must be organized and detail/quality oriented.

· Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a computer terminal.

· Knowledge of Prinergy and Insite are a plus.

· Must be able to work with Mac and PC platforms

· Ability to maintain proofer and software.

· Knowledge of G7 a plus.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday - 8AM to 4PM
