Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estate Planning Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will draft estate planning documents using in house templates for trusts, wills, powers of attorney, living wills, deeds and other pertinent documents, as well as correspondence and transmittal letters.

This position offers a flexible opportunity to work in an environment where your skills in maintaining accurate and organized client files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with legal standards will make a meaningful difference.

Responsibilities

Drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance healthcare directives.
Manage client files using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook keeping them organized, and up-to-date.
Perform detailed document review for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client instructions.
Communicate effectively to clarify client needs when necessary to gather information for estate planning and other legal matters;
Self-starter in managing deadlines. Able to manage multiple cases simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain detailed records.
Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion while maintaining strict adherence to privacy standards.
Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, proofreading documents, preparing client binders and managing correspondence with clients and third parties.

Skills

Proven experience in estate planning or related legal support roles with familiarity in drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for interviewing clients, drafting correspondence, and collaborating within a team environment.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for document creation and data management; familiarity with legal writing and proofreading is essential.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
