Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team! This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial records, ensure accurate bookkeeping, and support our organization’s financial health. As a key member of our finance team, you will handle various accounting tasks with precision and enthusiasm, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes. This position is perfect for someone passionate about accounting who thrives in a flexible, fast-paced environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact through meticulous financial management.

Duties

Accurately log all daily financial transactions including sales, receipts, payments and expenses.
Maintain a weekly cash flow projection.
Record accounts payable transactions including entry of vendor bills, paying vendors via check or ACH and communicating with vendors as needed.
Record accounts receivable transactions including invoicing customers, posting receipts and communicating with customers to resolve any collection issues.
Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit cards.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma required.
Experience: 5 years of professional bookkeeping or relevant accounting experience.
Software: Hand on experience with accounting software, preferable QuickBooks, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Attention to detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and the ability to spot irregularities in financial data.
Organizational Skills: Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Integrity: High level of honesty and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Experience:

Professional Bookkeeping or Accounting : 5 years (Required)

Ability to Commute:

Lemont, IL 60439 (Required)
