Tucker Wellness & Rehab is seeking a Full Time Physical Therapist to join our In House Rehab Team.

Full-time upto $120,000 annual salary!

The ideal therapist will work diligently to restore function while preventing further decline in patients ability to perform day to day meaningful tasks.

This person must demonstrate strong observation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and possess the ability to work closely with others in a manner essential to delivering the highest level of care to all patients.

Tucker Wellness & Rehab is a 137 bed facility with short-term rehab and long term care. The facility and therapy gym have been newly renovated. Tucker Wellness & Rehab is managed by Ahava Healthcare, where we believe in treating the patient physically, emotionally, and socially while upholding the highest standards of care.

Requirements:

Flexible with working weekends and/or weekend rotations
Physical Therapist Licensure in the state of GA
CPR certified

Essential Functions:

Screen, Evaluate and Treat patients on Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial insurance, etc following acceptable practice standards.
Supervise PTA’s according to GA practice standards
Record daily treatment charges according to approved billing guidelines.
Document daily notes and progress notes according to documentation guidelines.
Participate in patient/resident care conferences, interdisciplinary team meetings and other meetings as required and directed.
Communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient/resident progress, problems and plan.
Participate in in-service training programs for other staff in the facility
Instruct families in caregiver training appropriate for the patient/resident to return home.
Coordinates with members of other departments and staff in Rehab Department
Perform other duties as requestedDuties:

- Assess and evaluate patients' physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy techniques to improve mobility, strength, and function
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for at-home care
- Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Utilize anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and physiology knowledge in treatment sessions
- Specialize in specific areas such as acute care, trigger point therapy, or pediatrics
- Work in a hospital setting to provide physical therapy services

Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience working with patients in an acute care or hospital setting is preferred
- Specialization or additional certifications in areas such as trigger point therapy or pediatrics is a plus
