Estate Planning & Estate Administration Attorney

Position Type: Full-Time, In-person (830am - 5pm M-F)

Experience Level: 2–6 Years

Location: 250 International Dr., Williamsville, NY 14221 (Stamm Law Firm LLP)

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estate Planning & Estate Administration Attorney to join our growing practice. If you are passionate about helping families secure their legacies and navigating them through some of life's most significant transitions, you will find a rewarding home here.

Key Responsibilities: Estate Planning

Client Consultation: Meet with clients to analyze their financial situations, family dynamics, and long-term goals; explain complex legal concepts in a clear, accessible manner.
Document Drafting: Draft, review, and execute high-quality estate planning documents, including Wills, Revocable Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, Supplemental Needs Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies, Deeds, etc.
Strategic Planning: Develop customized wealth-preservation and asset-protection strategies, incorporating tax planning and Medicaid/long-term care planning.

Key Responsibilities: Estate & Trust Administration

Probate & Administration: Guide executors, administrators, and trustees through the probate and estate administration process from start to finish.
Petition & Pleading Preparation: Draft and file Surrogates’ Court petitions, accountings, etc., and represent clients in court appearances as required.
Asset Distribution: Oversee the marshalling, valuation, and distribution of estate and trust assets.
Tax Compliance: Coordinate with financial advisors and CPAs to ensure proper tax filings for estates and trusts.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & License: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in New York State (in good standing).
Experience: Approximately 2 to 6 years of dedicated experience in Estate Planning and/or Estate Administration.
Technical Skills: Being proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel) and generally tech-savvy, with the ability to conduct strong legal research online (Westlaw, Lexis) in an efficient manner.
Other Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build strong rapport with clients during sensitive emotional times. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple files independently. Strong collaborative spirit, fitting naturally into a tight-knit, team-oriented office culture.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
