ROLE PROFILE
The President will build and develop a high-caliber, scalable leadership team; optimize operational systems and processes and implement data-driven strategies to strengthen unit economics and maximize profitability. This leader will guide the organization through their next phase of transformation and growth, including enhancement of unit-level performance, new unit development, and potential acquisitions. Equally important, this role will champion a people-first culture – hiring, setting expectations, training, motivating and holding accountable talent at all levels, while ensuring that each Center delivers the energy and service experience that defines the European Wax Center brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Performance & Capital Management
- P&L Ownership: Own full P&L across all locations; deliver EBITDA growth through disciplined margin capture, revenue growth, and cost controls.
- KPI-Driven Performance: Establish and manage a rigorous KPI framework — target-setting, dashboard reporting, weekly revenue cycles, and variance analysis — to drive margin improvement and sustainable growth.
- Lender Relations: Manage relationships with the company's lenders; ensure ongoing compliance with credit agreements, covenant reporting, and debt service obligations. Lead refinancing or new credit facility processes as required.
- Investor Relations: Serve as the primary management contact for the investor base. Provide regular financial and operational reporting, support due diligence processes, and maintain transparency aligned with investor expectations and governance requirements.
Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Operational Excellence: Elevate multi-unit operating standards across all locations. Assess and develop field leadership, standardize operational playbooks, and diagnose performance variability by region.
- Systems & Process Innovation: Identify, design, and implement improvements to core business systems and processes — including scheduling, reporting, supply chain, and guest experience workflows. Drive efficiency gains that improve unit economics and scalability.
- Commercial Execution: Translate national EWC brand initiatives and promotions into profitable regional and local execution that protects margins and drives traffic.
People & Organizational Leadership
- People & Culture: Build and sustain a high-accountability leadership culture. Develop field leaders and bench strength, reduce turnover, and maintain safety and compliance standards across all locations.
- Talent Development: Attract and develop operational leadership capable of scaling with the business.
Stakeholder & Strategic Governance
- Board Management: Partner with the Board of Directors and Anchor Point leadership on strategic priorities, capital allocation decisions, and organizational performance. Prepare and present accurate, timely reporting for Monthly Business Reviews and periodic Board meetings.
- Franchisor Relations: Engage with the EWC Franchise Advisory Council to influence brand direction and advocate for franchisee interests while executing system standards.
- Growth & Portfolio Strategy: Prioritize high-ROI capital projects and maintain brand compliance across the portfolio. Evaluate growth opportunities with disciplined financial analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit consumer services, retail, or hospitality; franchise experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated P&L ownership at scale with measurable EBITDA performance results
- Experience managing lender relationships and reporting to an investor or private equity-backed board
- Track record of implementing operational systems and process improvements that drive efficiency and unit-level profitability
- Strong analytical capability; comfortable building and managing KPI frameworks and financial dashboards
- Proven ability to develop and retain high-caliber field leadership teams
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
COMPENSATION
Base Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Incentive: Performance-based annual bonus tied to financial and operational KPIs. Participation in the Management Incentive Plan, which includes possible equity in NAWCO.
