Full Job Description

SUMMARY:

A New York-based private family is seeking a hard-working, hands-on, and trustworthy Live-In Nanny to join their household. This role requires 3 overnight stays per week, with a minimum of 40–50 hours weekly, including some holidays. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety and security standards for children, maintain excellent cleanliness and organizational skills, and work well as part of a team. Attention to detail, prioritization, time management, flexibility, honesty, and reliability are essential.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday
3 overnights (Tuesday - Thursday)
10-12 hour days

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensuring safety and security for the children at all times.
Attending to all of children's needs including: feeding, taking them to school, daily cooking, washing/keeping inventory of their clothes and accessories, preparing simple meals, cleaning bathroom and supplies.
Keeping the children active with indoor and outdoor activities.
Ensuring the children’s areas are tidy.
Assist with extra-curricular activities and homework.
When not attending to the children, responsibilities may include: assisting other colleagues around the house with dishes, clearing tables, taking out the trash, keeping personal space tidy (bed, washroom, drawers, laundry, etc.), running small errands as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Must have at least 5 years of experience working as a childcare/housekeeper.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally required.
Problem solving skills for productive and cost/time efficient completion of duties.
Accountability and ownership of assigned responsibilities.
General knowledge of cleaning products and their application/use on museum quality furniture and various surfaces.
General knowledge of caring for fine garments: handwashing, ironing, steam-pressing, stain removal.

Base pay offered will be determined on an individualized basis and we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
