Full Job Description

Hearts for ABA is hiring! Are you looking for an opportunity to be a member of a team of behavior analysts who are making meaningful differences with our community’s most vulnerable individuals? Hearts for ABA uses the science and principles of behavior analysis to address the needs of individuals in a center-based setting. Our behavior analysts enjoy a workplace that affects real changes in the lives of our consumers.

Hearts for ABA is seeking qualified individuals who are Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in the Dayton, Ohio area. We are looking for full-time candidates to join our team. Candidates will work 8:00a-4:00p M-F with the opportunity for some flex time if approved.

The Behavior Analyst will work with an interdisciplinary team to develop implementation plans and provide behavior analysis services for supporting individuals with autism and other related disabilities. The Behavior Analyst will ensure services are directed towards meaningful outcomes for the individuals served. The Behavior Analyst will ensure the delivery of behavior analysis services meets the service requirements. Candidates will provide Applied Behavior Analysis consultation and evaluation to outpatient clients. Prepare and maintain records and reports pertaining to patient evaluation and treatment plans. Supervise masters-level students when appropriate.

Ideal candidates will have the following experiences and traits

Self-starter, and has good time management skills
Organized
Experience providing feedback to RBT’s, teachers, and other professionals
Has experience working collaboratively with schools
Experience working with children with ASD
Clean background check-
Has active credentials as a Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Responsibilities

Administer assessments including VB MAPP, Essentials for Living, ABLLS, AFLLS, PEAK, Vineland, PDD-BI, PSI-4, Functional Behavioral Assessments
Implement data collection, review, and modify treatment according to data
Create behavior plans for each child on caseload as needed
Analyze data and implement data driven program changes
Create and modify Individualized Treatment Plans for each child on caseload as needed
Document progress on goals and report to insurance or ODE as needed
Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities
Facilitate Natural Environment Training when appropriate
Observe patients during treatment, compile and evaluate data on patient responses to treatments and progress
Train behavior technicians on ABA and childs program
Directly observe treatments administered by behavior technicians
Review technicians documentation and data collection and provide feedback as needed
Provide scheduled consultations face to face with patient and technician, review data, update program and model techniques for technician
Supervision of behavior assistants
Parent training
Confer with members of ABA therapy staff and other health team members, individually and in conference, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs
Provide assistance to any patient when requested
Lead Behavior Technician staff meetings/trainings weekly
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Complete billing sheet accordingly to insurance codes authorized and submit in designated time frame
Communicate with other professionals in a timely manner
Maintain ongoing communication with parent regarding childs progress and plan of care
Prepare and conduct Staff Performance/ Competency Reviews
Provide supervision to BCBA candidates as outlined in the BCBA Supervision Contract

Requirements:

Minimum of a Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
Certified with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board
Certified Ohio Behavior Analyst (COBA) Certification
Must maintain credentialing in compliance with the BACB
Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral
Must complete Continuing Education courses as outlined by the BACB
Must complete supervision courses as outlined by the BACB
Obtain, possess and maintain current BLS/First Aid certification and re-certification every 2 years
Maintain a clear criminal record
Successfully manage behavior technicians
Exhibit superior organizational skills

Physical Demands

Must have full physical dexterity/agility or be able to independently position self and perform all movements required for effective treatment of each individual
Must have sufficient corrected or uncorrected vision to carry out all duties and responsibilities
Need to be able to lift and carry pediatric population (weight ranging from 5 to 50 lbs.)
