Full Job Description

DDA Program Specialist (Part-Time)

Location: Lewiston, ID
Schedule: Part-Time (12–16 hours per week)
Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour

Position Summary

The DDA Program Specialist provides administrative, training, and program support to the Developmental Disabilities Agency (DDA) team. This position works closely with the Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) and Group Leaders to support service quality, staff development, documentation compliance, and participant outcomes.

This role is ideal for an individual with experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities who enjoys coaching staff, monitoring service delivery, and assisting with program operations.

Essential ResponsibilitiesProgram Support

Assist the QIDP with data collection, documentation review, and program monitoring activities.
Support implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and participant goals.
Conduct quarterly in-home visits and observations as assigned.
Assist with tracking participant progress and service documentation.
Identify and communicate program concerns, trends, or compliance issues.

Training and Staff Development

Assist with onboarding and training of new Technicians and Group Leaders.
Conduct competency observations and provide coaching to direct support staff.
Reinforce agency policies, procedures, and service standards.
Support ongoing staff development initiatives and training activities.

Operational Support

Provide coverage for Group Leaders as needed.
Assist with participant staffing needs during periods of absence or increased demand.
Maintain professional communication with participants, families, guardians, and team members.
Support special projects and program initiatives as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, behavioral health needs, or related human services populations.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to travel locally for participant visits and program support activities.
Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred

Two or more years of experience in developmental disabilities services.
Experience training, mentoring, or coaching staff.
Knowledge of Idaho DDA services, person-centered planning, and ISP implementation.
Coursework or degree in psychology, social work, education, human services, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to build positive relationships with participants and staff.
Ability to observe services and provide constructive feedback.
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Proficiency with basic computer systems and electronic documentation.

Physical Requirements

Ability to safely perform participant support activities as needed.
Ability to travel throughout the service area.
Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and assist with participant needs consistent with agency policies.
