Full Job Description

Scope of Work: Programs/Operations Director

Department: The Price Dynamic (TPD)

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: 1645 Harmon Pl #304 Mpls, MN 55403/Hybrid options available Type: Independent Contractor

Position Overview

The Programs/Operations Director oversees the daily operations of all TPD programs, manages the portfolio of contracts, and helps develop additional funding and revenue streams to support and grow the organization. This role combines hands-on leadership in social services with strategic operational management, ensuring high-impact outcomes for families, youth, and communities while driving sustainable organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Program Management

● Oversee daily operations across all TPD programs, ensuring program quality, compliance, and timely delivery.

● Develop, implement, and monitor program policies, procedures, and performance metrics.

● Lead program planning cycles, including intake, service delivery, case coordination, and outcomes reporting.

● Ensure effective risk management, safeguarding, and quality improvement processes.

Contracts & Funding

● Manage the portfolio of contracts with funders, partners, and service providers. ● Ensure contract compliance, reporting accuracy, and on-time deliverables. ● Identify opportunities to expand funding, scale programs, and diversify revenue streams. ● Lead grant development efforts, proposals, and donor communications in collaboration with the CEO and development team.

Financial & Budget Stewardship

● Assists CEO in Maintaining program budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation to maximize impact.

Strategic Leadership & Vision Casting

● Act as a strategic partner to the CEO to carry the organization’s vision, especially in the CEO’s absence.

● Translate the CEO’s strategic direction into actionable plans, goals, and initiatives for programs and operations.

● Drive innovation by generating new ideas, piloting pilots, and scaling successful innovations.

● Foster a culture of accountability, learning, collaboration, and equity across all programs.

People & Talent Management

● Manage, mentor, and develop program coordinators and frontline staff. ● Oversee workload planning, performance evaluations, professional development, and succession planning.

● Promote inclusive leadership, cultural humility, and trauma-informed approaches in service delivery.

Stakeholder & Partnership Management

● Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, community partners, school districts, child welfare agencies, and other stakeholders.

● Represent TPD in external forums, conferences, and strategic meetings. ● Collaborate with the CEO on long-term strategic partnerships and co-creation of new initiatives.

Compliance, Risk & Quality Assurance

● Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., family law systems, child protection requirements, youth violence prevention best practices). ● Lead internal and external program evaluations, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation readiness.

● Implement data governance, privacy, and security measures aligned with industry standards.

Required Qualifications

● Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

● Extensive background in social service work, with demonstrated understanding of: Family law systems, Child protection, Youth violence prevention

● Proven experience managing programs, large budgets, and multiple contracts. ● Strong leadership and people management experience, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.

● Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations and oversee diverse program portfolios.

● Experience with grants, funding development, and revenue diversification. ● Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. ● Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

● Ability to operate with a systems-thinking mindset, balancing program impact with financial sustainability.

● Funding diversification progress (new grants, contracts, revenue streams). ● Employee engagement, retention, and performance results.

● Stakeholder satisfaction and partner engagement levels.

● Implementation rate of strategic initiatives and innovations.

Working Relationships

Reports to: CEO

Direct reports: Program Managers, Contract/Grants Coordinators, and relevant program staff Cross-functional partners: Finance, Development, Human Resources, Compliance, Data/Analytics, Communications, and Administrative Support

Work Environment

Primarily office-based/ some work from home with opportunities for field visits to programs and community partner sites. Travel as required to meet with funders, partners, and field staff.
