Full Job Description

Overview
The Product Manager will define product specifications based on customers' requirements. In a close relationship with our Engineering Group, the PM will manage product definitions, technology roadmaps and schedule the different phases until mass production. This involves some knowledge both on hardware and software.

After launch, the PM will also be responsible for software maintenance, and will manage the product life cycle. The PM will oversee pre-sales activities, and RFPs responses for the related product line and customer portfolio.

The PM will develop business growth strategies in close partnership with the Sales Team, drive profitability optimizations with the procurement and factory teams, and lead technology evolutions with R&D.

You will be part of the Broadband Solutions Business Unit of Sagemcom, with a focus on CPEs for Fiber (PON) and DOCSIS product lines for Tier 1 and Tier 2 operators. The position is based in Dallas at Sagemcom USA headquarters, which manages business and product lines for operators in US and Canada. Remote applicants with extensive prior experience in this field may be considered. This position requires about 15% to 30% traveling, mainly in the United States and Canada. Compensation package will be based on prior experience.

Responsibilities:

Tailor a Fiber & Cable CPE product roadmap for Tier 1/ Tier 2 operators on the North American market
Define Product specifications based on customer requirements
Control the entire product life cycle from definition to implementation, internal & external qualification, production, deployment and maintenance
Coordinate all product activities between internal teams (Engineering, Procurement, Production, Sales) as well as teams from customers (Engineering, Product, Sourcing, Operations)
Drive innovation and adoption of technology evolutions around Hardware (chipsets, 50G PON, DOCSIS 4.0, WIFI 7/8, 25G Ethernet, IoT, …) and software solutions (RDK, prpl, OpenSync, OpenWRT, Cloud services, USP/TR369, Embedded-AI, Cloud-AI, third-party applications, …)
Develop strategies to secure & increase revenue, and optimize costs
Lead pre-sales activities, and produce RFP answers
Manage large customer Programs to launch new products

Profile:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and/or MBA is a plus.
Past experience in an engineering or technical role with specific experience around product development.
Previous technical experience in the Telecom/Broadband industry

Skills and Knowledge:

Experience in IT/telecom both on Software and Hardware solutions for Fiber and/or Cable operators
Experience with PON (GPON, XGS-PON, 10G EPON) and/or DOCSIS
Proficiency in Internet technologies, Broadband access, Voice over IP, WiFi, Home Networking
Very good written and oral English communication skills.
Strong analytical skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
Ability to translate customers' requirements into technical solutions.
Excellent organization skills and autonomy to work on multiple projects in parallel, with resources in multiple time zones across the globe
Highly motivated with an ability to work within tight deadlines.
