Full Job Description

The Arc of Bergen and Passaic Counties is the premier not-for profit of families, self advocates and community members dedicated to assisting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Overview
We are seeking a Director of Adult Training Services to develop, administer and oversee all aspects of the Adult Training department including programs, services, facilities and budget.

Duties

Hire, supervise and evaluate Program Managers, Supervisors and Coordinators
Support staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and adherence to best practices.
Manage program budgets, oversee administrative tasks, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
Participate in trainings, meetings, workshops, seminars, boards and committees as deemed appropriate and necessary to the operations and enhancement of the department
Oversee transportation services for the department including fleet operation, maintenance and utilization of resources
Provide technical assistance to program supervisors, managers and coordinators and staff as indicated to enhance programming
Complete all other duties and assume responsibilities required for efficiency within the department

Skills

Proven management experience with the ability to lead teams.
Strong background in program development
Extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
Exceptional relationship management skills to foster partnerships with families, community agencies, and funding bodies.
Solid administrative experience including budgeting, documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting.
Demonstrated supervisory skills with a focus on staff development, performance management, and team building.

35 Hour work week, flexible to meet program needs. On call responsibilities

BA/BS Psychology or related field OR Minimum 5 years experience in field with at least 2 years of administrative experience. Must possess background in multi-program administration. Valid NJ driver's license, own vehicle for transportation to field assignments. Must demonstrate excellent communication, writing, supervisor, management and programming skills.
