Business Development Representative (Part-Time)

Seniors Helping Seniors® East King

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour + Performance-Based Commission + Mileage Reimbursement

Expected Hours: 20-30 per week

About Us

Seniors Helping Seniors® East King provides compassionate, relationship-based in-home care by pairing seniors who need help with caring, dependable caregivers—often seniors themselves. We help older adults remain independent, safe, and engaged in the comfort of their own homes throughout East King County.

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and relationship-focused Business Development Representative to expand our community presence and generate new client referrals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys networking, building professional relationships, representing a mission-driven organization, and helping seniors and their families access quality care.

This position combines community outreach, referral development, marketing, and relationship management. Success is measured by building referral partnerships, generating qualified leads, and contributing to growth in client starts and service hours.

Key Responsibilities

Community Outreach & Relationship Development

Build and maintain referral relationships with:
Hospitals and discharge planners
Skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities
Assisted living and independent living communities
Senior centers and community organizations
Physicians, social workers, and healthcare providers
Conduct in-person visits, presentations, follow-up meetings, and outreach activities
Attend networking events, health fairs, chamber events, and community programs

Lead Generation & Growth

Generate new client inquiries and referrals through strategic outreach
Develop and execute territory growth plans
Track referral activity, lead sources, and outcomes
Support growth in client starts and weekly service hours

Marketing & Brand Awareness

Support grassroots, digital, and community marketing initiatives
Assist with social media, local events, and educational presentations
Promote brand awareness throughout East King County

Communication & Collaboration

Serve as a professional ambassador for Seniors Helping Seniors®
Communicate effectively with referral partners, families, caregivers, and office staff
Coordinate with care teams to support successful client onboarding

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate CRM and outreach records
Provide weekly reports on referral activity, opportunities, and results

Qualifications

Required

Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally
Comfortable networking and conducting in-person outreach
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM tools)

Preferred

Experience in healthcare marketing, home care, senior services, community outreach, sales, or business development
Existing relationships within the King County senior care community
Experience working with referral sources and healthcare professionals

Compensation & Benefits

$25.00-$35.00 per hour based on experience
Performance-based commission program
Mileage reimbursement for approved business travel
