Full Job Description

We are seeking an energetic Deputy Director of Program Operations for our Vocational Nursing Program to support and collaborate with our Campus Program Director. This key role involves coordinating program development, management, evaluation, and continuous enhancement efforts to ensure the best learning environment and academic experiences for our students.

Responsibilities include:

Collaborating in the creation and refinement of program strategies and components.
Assisting in the compilation and preparation of necessary data for state and Board compliance, including reports, proposals, and site assessments.
Facilitating the acquisition of external resources critically needed for program success.
Evaluating clinical agencies to ensure that experiential learning goals align with course objectives.
Overseeing the completion and approval process for clinical rotation applications.
Monitoring and verifying timely submission of student evaluations by faculty and site representatives.
Maintaining comprehensive feedback records from all program stakeholders at each clinical rotation’s conclusion.
Aiding in the strategic development of instructional initiatives to uphold program excellence.
Continuously striving to enhance the educational delivery and outcome.
Managing the timely execution of clinical schedules and assignments.
Ensuring strict adherence to student clinical rotation policies by faculty members.
Conducting routine reviews of learning materials for relevance and comprehensiveness.
Maintaining meticulous student records in adherence to institutional policies.
Providing punctual submission of program documentation to supervisory staff.
Remaining abreast of technological advancements and safety protocol changes.
Offering advisory services and planning guidance to prospective students.
Ensuring students fulfill graduation prerequisites and are prepared for their licensure examinations.
Committing half of the working hours to teaching responsibilities encompassing both theoretical and practical components.
Performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Advanced degree in nursing, education, or administration from an accredited institution.
At least three years of experience leading nursing programs.
Over three years of full-time faculty experience in nursing education programs.
At least one year of experience in online education environments.
Four years of direct patient care experience as an RN in specified clinical areas within the last five years.
Active nursing license from the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrable innovation and adaptability in problem-solving approaches.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
