Full Job Description

Join a top U.S. homebuilder in a fast-paced, high-impact role as a Project Design Architect in Frederick, MD. This is a great opportunity to drive residential product development across a national footprint, collaborate with engineering and design teams, and help deliver market-ready homes at scale through hands-on CAD-based design work.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Project Design Architect position include:

6+ years of design experience, ideally with residential architecture and production homebuilding
Lead schematic-side design work and collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently on some design tasks, then coordinate with a team and management
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers and design leadership
Develop designs for residential product types including single-family and attached condos
Use AutoCAD for all design work
Participate in a mini design exercise during the interview process (4–6 hours, paid)
Ensure design alignment with project requirements and produce production-ready deliverables

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year

Benefits: Company offers traditional and Roth options, with matching up to $1,000 annually, plus an employee stock option program (ESOP) with an automatic company contribution (typically around 4% annually, at the company’s discretion).
