Full Job Description

An established, employee-owned general contractor with a strong presence across Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its growing Education division.

The company has built an excellent reputation for delivering complex projects across the education, multifamily, institutional, commercial, and public sectors. With a strong backlog of repeat clients and long-term work secured, this is an opportunity to join a collaborative organization that values leadership, quality, and career development.

The Role

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of a high-profile private K-12 school project in the Wellesley area, overseeing all phases from preconstruction through project closeout. Following this assignment, you'll have the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of ground-up and renovation projects for educational and institutional clients across Massachusetts.

This position offers the chance to work on meaningful projects while enjoying the support of an experienced leadership team and the autonomy to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout.
Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement activities, and overall financial performance.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors.
Coordinate internal project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Oversee project reporting, change management, risk mitigation, and client communications.
Partner with field operations to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and execution.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a general contractor.
Proven experience delivering K-12, higher education, private school, institutional, or public-sector construction projects.
Strong knowledge of project financial management, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client relationship management.
Experience leading complex ground-up and renovation projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive base salary of $170,000–$200,000, depending on experience.
