Full Job Description

This job is located near Silverdale, WA 98315 at Naval Base Kitsap.

Description:

The Crane/VTE Scheduler supports daily administrative and operational function of the Crane Department by planning, coordinating, and tracking crane and VTE maintenance and repair. The Scheduler coordinates with customers and maintenance teams to schedule resources, materials, training, and monitor progress.

Track and expedite work, coordinate project resources to assure contractual completion time requirements are met.
Prepare and processes material request forms.
Ensure all required materials are on hand before releasing work for accomplishment.
Coordinate with the customer and the other scheduling groups to identify and establish job requirements, assign priorities, coordinate access, establish work schedules, and report work progress.
Plan and schedule work to minimize equipment downtime and customer inconvenience.
Develop and implement measurement, reporting and control systems to improve planning and scheduling effectiveness.
Provide ongoing status reports to management on work-load/backlog trends, work completion times, labor utilization, shop performance, and work order status.
Montor and update work progress and status through scheduling database.
Schedule training and physicals to maintain valid licensing for personnel and conformance with contractual and legal requirements.
Assist team members with PMs in Maximo.
Communicate professionally with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
Promote and adhere to safety policies.
All Other Duties/Projects as Assigned.

Qualifications:

High school education or equivalent.
Minimum three (3) years’ experience scheduling for maintenance activities or equivalent experience in one or more trades. Relevant administrative experience, education or training may be substituted.
Minimum one (1) year of computer experience utilizing a Windows system, required.
Four (4) years Excel or similar software experience, required.
Experience using Maximo, preferred.
Experience in preventative maintenance system, preferred.
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload and ability to work under pressure.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience with calendar management and scheduling tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Security Requirements:

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain all applicable federal security clearances.
Must be a current U.S. citizen.
Required drug screening, physical, and background check.

Driving Requirements:

A valid state driver license is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain coverage by HMG’s insurance company.
