Full Job Description

Lalezarian Properties, an established real estate development and investment company based out of Lake Success, New York, with multifamily, office and retail properties in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Long Island, is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk / Property Accountant to join our Accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, verifying financial data, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, reliable, and eager to work in a fast-paced environment. This position will report to Senior Accounting Staff and Company Principals.

Accounts Payable Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Review and verify invoices and check requests
Sort, code, and match invoices
Set invoices up for payment and enter into accounting system
Process check runs
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Maintain electronic vendor files and communicate with vendors regarding payment status

Qualifications:

The qualified candidate should be flexible, have a positive attitude, and able to work well with others as part of a team
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as professional telephone manners
Must be proficient in MS Office, ESPECIALLY EXCEL, WORD, and OUTLOOK. Yardi Experience is a Huge PLUS!
3-5 years experience in accounts payable or general accounting
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Must be highly organized and conscientious
Must be professional, self-motivated, reliable and punctual
