Full Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Performs pulmonary function studies.
Prepares and calibrates PFT equipment.
Collects test samples, performs initial test analysis and advises staff on findings.
Performs tests according the American Thoracic Society Guidelines.
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Assists in process billing, data entry/maintenance and lab equipment care/maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Respiratory Care Practitioner License - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Must be obtainined in one month after hire date.
National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC if Licensed after 2002)

Preferred Qualifications:

Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT)
Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT)
National Board for Respiratory Care AARC membership

Education:

A.A.S.-Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care
B.S. Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy

Work Location
This position is primarily based at the Center for Advanced Medicine in the Central West End. Team members may have the opportunity to provide occasional coverage at our satellite Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Laboratory locations in South County and West County to support patient care and collaborate with colleagues across multiple sites.

Salary Range

$29.80 - $46.19 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.

Pre-Employment Screening
