Job Description

We're looking for Surgery Buyers who are excited to support the daily operations of our Surgery Department through effective purchasing and inventory management. In this role, you'll coordinate the procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment, maintain inventory accuracy, support patient supply chain processes, and ensure appropriate charge capture within hospital systems. Key Responsibilities

Purchase materials, supplies, and equipment for the Surgery Department in accordance with hospital policies and standards.

Manage operating room inventory and patient supply chain processes.

Apply and monitor supply-related charges accurately within hospital systems.

Maintain inventory records and assist with stock control and replenishment activities.

Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and purchasing software to support purchasing operations.

Collaborate with clinical and support staff to ensure adequate supply availability and operational efficiency.

Collaborative Teamwork

This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience required.

Three (3) years of relevant clinical experience preferred.

Preferred clinical experience in one or more of the following:
- Central Processing (CP/SPD)
- Sterile Processing Department (SPD)
- Operating Room Technician (OR Tech)
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and industry-standard purchase order software platforms.
Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, interdepartmental, and attention to detail skills.

Experience and in-depth knowledge of operating room inventory organization.

Experience and in-depth understanding of operating room tray organization and expectations.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred and may be completed onsite after hire.

Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in the English language.

Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with our patients, families, coworkers, physicians, and community.
