Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Process Technician to join our manufacturing team. This permanent position requires a permanent legal U.S. resident status. This position is a support position to the production team, and must be willing to offer time and talent whenever and wherever needed to meet customer requirements. At Metalcraft Industries, Quality is Uncompromising.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines to verify product dimensions and specifications.
Monitor manufacturing processes closely, collecting data on quality metrics, analyzing deviations, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Support the implementation and maintenance of quality systems including CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices)
Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions that prevent recurrence.
Utilize problem-solving/qualification packages (PFMEA, FAI/AS9102, APQP, 8D).
Participate in calibration and maintenance of precision measuring instruments such as vision inspection systems, micrometers, calipers, and other quality control tools to guarantee measurement accuracy.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing process data, supporting quality management reviews, and preparing reports on product conformity.

Requirements

Must be a permanent legal resident with authorization to work full-time without restrictions.
Proven experience in manufacturing environments with strong knowledge of metrology, quality control, inspection techniques, and quality assurance practices.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes used in metal fabrication and machining to understand where process variations may originate and be mitigated.
Familiarity with CMM programming and operation software or similar manufacturing execution systems is preferred.
Solid understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100, quality management principles.
Hands-on experience operating precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data accurately and identify process improvements.
Excellent attention to detail combined with effective validation and follow through.
