Full Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Linux Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. This role involves implementing user space applications onto embedded devices. The role requiring expertise in Linux user space development and strong C/C++ & Python programming skills. As a customer-facing engineer, you will work on-premise at our client's facility (Poway, CA), making strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Experience in TCP/IP and common network protocols is a must.
Port and optimize software libraries for embedded devices.
Work extensively with the Linux Embedded Development, including user space applications development and system-level debugging.
Develop and maintain code in C/C++, with scripting in BASH and Python.
Collaborate with customers to define technical requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve system-level performance issues in embedded environments.

Requirements:

7+ years of experience in embedded software development.
Experience with TCP/IP stack and network protocols
Strong Linux user-space development experience
Proficiency in C/C++ user-space applications, with scripting experience in BASH and Python.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a customer-facing role.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on-site in a collaborative environment.
Required to work on premise in Poway, CA.

Preferred:

Software defined network solutions
C/C++ and Python experience
Prefer experience creating applications using Zynq SoC with FPGA
Prefer experience with waveform radio technology.
