We are a busy, high-end restoration shop seeking an experienced Classic Car Restoration Technician with a strong background in full vehicle restoration. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complete classic car restorations, including disassembly, repair, and reassembly
- Conduct metal fabrication, panel replacement, and structural repairs
- Execute high-quality welding, including MIG, GMAW, and TIG processes
- Repair rust, body damage, and aging components to like-new or better condition
- Interpret build sheets, blueprints, and project specifications
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and adhere to shop standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines without compromising quality
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds shop quality expectations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in classic car restoration
- Demonstrated expertise in MIG, GMAW, and TIG welding
- Strong metal fabrication and bodywork skills
- Must supply own tools required for the job
- Deep understanding of classic vehicle construction and materials
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with frame-off restorations
- Familiarity with vintage and rare vehicles
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve complex restoration challenges
