Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Receptionist to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills and familiarity with legal terminology and processes, making it essential for the smooth operation of our office.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and visitors in a professional manner, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Manage incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate personnel while taking detailed messages when necessary.
Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized client records.
Assist with legal administrative tasks such as drafting documents related to personal injury, social security disability, and workers' compensation law.
Utilize software tools such as Smokeball and QuickBooks for document management and billing processes.
Support attorneys with scheduling appointments, court dates, and meetings.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal standards.

Skills

Proficiency in legal administrative tasks with a solid understanding of legal terminology.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Experience with Smokeball or similar legal management software, QuickBooks or similar accounting software, and/or medical billing is highly desirable.
Familiarity with areas of law, including personal injury, social security disability, and workers' compensation law is a plus.
Excellent clerical skills, including attention to detail in document preparation and filing.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
