Full Job Description

Nephrology Associates of Tidewater is an innovative medical practice specializing in the treatment of kidney disease. Join our growing team in providing compassionate, high-quality care to our patients.

We are seeking a full-time Medical Secretary to support our Eastern Shore office.

Qualified applicants must have at least two years of experience in a medical practice.

This position is best suited for someone who is independent, self-motivated, reliable, and committed to their work. The Medical Secretary will often work alone at the front desk and must be comfortable managing daily responsibilities without direct supervision. The ability to multitask, stay organized, prioritize tasks, and keep up in a busy environment is essential.

The Medical Secretary will work closely with patients, providers, and staff and must have strong communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of insurance verification, scheduling appointments, collecting copays, and general front-office duties is required.

Candidates must be dependable, punctual, professional, and willing to assist where needed to support the practice and our patients.

Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Office, computers, and standard office equipment is required. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office are essential.

Our practice offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Hours: Monday through Thursday - 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Friday's - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Location: Nassawadox, VA

Must be willing to provide coverage at other locations as needed.
