We are seeking a part time Human Resources Assistant / Recruiter to join our growing HR team. In this role, you will play a key part in recruiting top talent, coordinating onboarding, supporting employee benefits, and providing administrative support that keeps our HR department running efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, customer-focused HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

Manage full-cycle recruiting for production positions and assist with recruiting skilled, technical, and professional roles.
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies.
Create and manage job postings across company career sites, job boards, and social media platforms.
Source qualified candidates through staffing agencies, job boards, referrals, social media, community partnerships, job fairs, and educational institutions.
Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
Maintain consistent communication with candidates to ensure a positive hiring experience.
Maintain applicant tracking system (ATS) records and recruitment documentation.
Track recruiting metrics, including applicant flow, time-to-fill, and hiring effectiveness.

Onboarding & New Hire Support

· Prepare new hire paperwork and onboarding materials.

· Assist with coordinating and facilitating new hire orientation.

Ensure all employment eligibility documentation is completed accurately.
Maintain employee personnel files and update HRIS records.
Serve as a resource for new employees by answering onboarding questions and introducing company policies, benefits, and procedures.

Benefits Administration

Assist with the administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, and wellness programs.
Support annual Open Enrollment by preparing communications and educating employees on benefit options.
Assist with benefits audits and compliance reporting.

HR Administrative Support

Maintain confidential employee records and HRIS data.
Prepare employment verification requests, HR correspondence, and other employment-related documentation.
Maintain HR forms, templates, and standard operating procedures.
Assist with HR reporting, record retention, and compliance documentation.
Order and maintain HR office supplies and recruiting materials.
Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.

HR Department Support

Assist with employee engagement activities, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and company events.
Compile recruiting and HR metrics for management reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve recruiting and HR processes.
Support HR projects and departmental initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Education

Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

Experience

3–5 years of Human Resources or recruiting experience.
Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices and candidate sourcing strategies.
Experience utilizing social media and creative recruiting techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR technology systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with managers and team members.
Strong problem-solving, time management, and follow-up skills.
