Summary

About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency. It is located at the Lyster Army Health Clinic on Fort Rucker, Alabama within the Department of Quality Management. Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office setting, with routine outpatient clinic environment exposure to sick and potentially infectious/contagious patients requiring normal safety precautions.

Duties

Manage all administrative and reporting requirements for the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Training Program.
Responsible for all Electronic Health Record (EHR)-related training to all assigned personnel at assigned Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
Responsible for the training activities involved in analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
Perform implementation and training duties associated with provider, nursing, support staff and clerical user access, profiles, and patient management.
Plan, execute, and evaluate the training and training support of eHR DoD systems.
Communicate with system users and/or system developers to identify changes within medical systems.
Support users individually, in groups or by phone to resolve training issues.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.

This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random drug testing, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes developing training programs within a Healthcare Facility such as training on an Electronic Health Record System, outpatient and/or inpatient clinical information systems.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

OR

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Education/Adult Education; Instructional Design/ Technology; Healthcare Administration/Management or closely related field. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.).

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
