Full Job Description

Job description:

** Must live within 25 miles of the facility **

We are looking to hire additional team members that are reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to grow!

The Quality Inspector will perform a variety of quality functions throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards. These duties include dimensional inspection using a CMM (required), verification of precision machined components, detailed documentation, and support of continuous improvement initiatives within an ISO 9001:2015 certified environment.

An ideal Quality candidate will have hands‑on experience with Quality Control and Quality Assurance in a machining or manufacturing environment, strong blueprint reading abilities, and advanced comprehension of GD&T. Experience with precision gauges and measurement tools is essential.

Job Duties:

Perform detailed dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using CMM equipment (CMM experience required).
Utilize all precision inspection tools and gauges including micrometers, calipers, bore gages, depth gages, height gages, and indicators.
Conduct first‑piece, in‑process, receiving, and final inspections.
Perform follow‑up actions for non‑conforming products, including identification and segregation.
Ensure all gages and measurement tools remain in proper calibration.
Assist in identifying and correcting areas for improvement and support corrective actions.
Assist with preparation and submission of inspection documentation such as Certificates of Conformance, PPAPs, and FAIRs.
Help facilitate and perform internal process audits and annual ISO audits.
Assist in maintaining quality system documentation, including revisions and control of documents as required by ISO 9001:2015.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
Perform other tasks as directed by the Quality Manager.

Position Requirements:

Must be able to use Calipers, Micrometers, Depth Gages, and CMM.
Preferred Associate's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CMM operation (PC‑DMIS, Calypso, or similar).
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality systems preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.

Safety:

Protective eyewear is required while operating or near machinery.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands for this position are normal for a manufacturing environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and talk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and on occasion up to 50 pounds based on product needs.
