Location: Kent, WA
The Hardware Product Management role is a customer facing contact for multi-vendor client hardware that are declared standard by a major Dell customer. This candidate will be part of a team that manages platform lifecycle, from defining the hardware based on customer input & business requirements, to testing, sustaining support, and beyond.
The position requires a person with strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented collaborative environment on-site with the customer. Experience and willingness to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is critical. The role requires regular in office hours, due to our customers global operations that never cease occasional work outside of regular hours is required.
Role Responsibilities:
· Advanced troubleshooting of productivity and high-end engineering client desktops, notebooks, tablets, and peripherals
· Preparation, testing, and implementation of device driver updates via customer change management processes
· Functionality testing/Performance benchmarking hardware, this includes evaluation hardware, standards, and non-standards
· Problem solving, works with multiple teams to resolve 3rd level support issues
· Create and maintain support documentation, and communication
· Coordinating customer lab testing, facilitates remote testing requirements
· Maintenance of lab inventory which includes device tracking, repair, and lifecycle processes
· Preparing and presenting internal and customer facing reports and leading meetings as necessary
· Quarterly validation of customer RedHat image
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Team player with strong communication & organizational skills
· Strong analytical ability, innovative mindset
· CompTIA A+ Certified, or equivalent experience
· 2-4 years of experience in providing enterprise client hardware support
· Detailed technical writing skills, and knowledge article management
· Strong familiarity with driver installation testing, deployment methodologies, and OS imaging procedures
· CLI and PowerShell experience desired
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
