The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Inova Fairfax Hospital is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse to scrub and circulate in various specialties.

Job Responsibilities:
As a RN in the CVOR at Inova Fairfax Hospital, you will support adult and pediatric/congenital cardiac surgeries. The 7 state-of-the-art CVORs are equipped with Stryker integrated video and a Philips (Single Plane) Hybrid OR. They serve all cardiac surgery needs including thoracic organ transplant (heart and lung), mechanical circulatory support, structural heart, congenital, and advanced aortic surgery.

Requirements:

Schedule: Full time, Days vary, 10 hour or 12 hour shifts (3x10, 4x10, or 3x12 hour shifts)
Experience: 2 years CVOR Registered Nurse experience is required. May consider OR RNs seeking to specialize in CVOR. Preferred: Previous experience both scrub and circulating in a cardiac surgery service line setting performing complex procedures i.e. transplant, aortic dissections, structural heart.
Education: BSN or ADN (If ADN: must complete/obtain BSN within 24 months of start date)
Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association & VA RN license; CNOR certification highly desired
Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center is preferred
EKG proficiency
