Full Job Description

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults.

Must be available to work a Full Time schedule and attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM / Week 2: Tues & Weds 9 AM - 5 PM

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, geriatric and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process. Duties include: assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies. We are currently seeking Full time - Registered Nurses!

Registered Nurse Job Duties:

completes and documents the comprehensive nursing assessment within (8) hours of admission;
Acts as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team in planning care by providing input to the treatment team process;
Prepares patients for discharge;
Records and transcribes physicians written and telephone orders accurately;
Other duties as assigned

Registered Nurse Job Requirements:

Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree) required. BSN preferred.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required.
Minimum of one (1) year related experience required. Psychiatric nursing experience is preferred.
Current CPR Certification required
Hours: Day Shift: 7AM - 7PM (Rotating Weekends Required)
