Full Job Description

All-female residential substance abuse and mental health facility in Novato is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (preferably with addiction medicine and/or mental health treatment experience/knowledge) to join our fun, engaging, and supportive team! The role of the Nurse is to oversee the medical health care of our clients in our programs and work along side our Medical team.

Avery Lane is a long-term, gender specific women's treatment center located in Novato that specializes in the treatment of Substance Abuse, Dual Diagnosis, and Trauma . We are not the standard drug and alcohol treatment program, we really are creating something different for our clients and focusing more on their underlying issues. Our core team has been working together since our opening in 2017 and we are growing rapidly! We have a passion for recovery and conduct our business in a relaxed atmosphere where employees and clients work together as a community to grow.

Job Duties:
-Complete nursing assessments, treat and support medical care (mental health and detox needs) and provide documentation

-Ensure physicians' orders are carried out in a timely manner

-Oversee medication distribution

-Ensure patients' status is assessed on an ongoing basis

-Potentially provide medical psycho-education groups to clients

-Work directly with Clinical Staff, and Operations staff for continuity of care

-Maintain client records according to CA state requirements

-Crisis management and crisis support for clients

-Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
-Experience with addiction medicine and/or mental health specialty-- including ability to treat mental health issues and preferably detoxification of alcohol/drugs (with the supervision of our physician team)
-Communication, organizational, and time management skills
-Working knowledge of California certification and licensing requirements
-Active RN or LVN license
-Computer literacy and ability to work with various Microsoft Office programs
-Ability to work in a strong team lead setting
-Ability to work with clients with ages 18-65 with varying cultural backgrounds
