Job Duties

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of nursing care in the assigned pre-op and post-operative areas of the surgery center.
The Registered Nurse will ensure patient needs are met in accordance with the instructions of the physicians and facility administrative procedures.
The Registered Nurse will participate in various quality activities as appropriate and as directed by the Medical Director or Director of Nursing.
The Registered Nurse performs nursing care for the patient in the pre-op and immediate post-operative/post-anesthesia period, assessing and documenting the patient's status upon arrival at the center and the recovery room.
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered, monitoring patient and informing surgeon and/or anesthesia provider of observed complications.

Required experience:

Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
PACU/Pre-Op experience
Associate Degree in Nursing
