Job Summary

Metro Homes, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse Supervisor to support adults with intellectual disabilities. The RN Supervisor will be responsible for planning and developing all nursing activities for their designated caseload. You will develop and implement Health Care Management plans and maintain medical records; administer nursing care to person(s) served and advise person(s) served and staff on health maintenance disease prevention and provides case management. Investigation of incidents after acquiring level one training for incidents.

Responsibilities and Duties

Ensures the inclusion of health issues in each service plan which is based on thorough, comprehensive nursing/health assessments.
Ensures the implementation of nursing/health services and programs to maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals served.
Monitoring the provisions of quality nursing/health services to maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals served while ensuring expedient response to identified health needs.
Develops and maintains cooperative relationships and/or effective communication among staff, other health providers, state and public agencies.
Ensure the development and periodic review of health and nursing related policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and yet be responsible to individual needs and desires.
Ensures the timely and accurate recording of health issues, programs and services for individuals served by staff.
Conduct in-service and orientation training to staff.
Provides in-service in all areas of health services
Train staff on medication and side effects of medications.

Qualifications and Skills * Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required

Three (3) years of nursing experience with DDA/DDS population preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Active RN License, CPR, First Aid and current health certificate
Evidence of effective professional writing, communication and clinical skills.
Computer literate.
Ability to utilize proper body mechanics while assisting with transfers of individuals weighing up to 280 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, sit, and walk for periods of time.
