Full Job Description

**13 week Contract Day & Night Shift Position Available**

Lincoln Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Obstetrics department in a full-time 13 week contract position.

The basic purpose of this position is to manage individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and health system policies and procedures.

Essential Functions:

Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
Develops, discusses, and communicates a realistic plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/significant other in order to address all identified needs.
Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement obstetrical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures, teaching of and communication with patient and support person(s).
Evaluate the identified problems, care provided, and patient's responses are reassessed to meet patient and family needs and assure overall quality of care delivered.
Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to endure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, to ensure quality care.
Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the birthing unit/parent/child division as defined in the scope of service, to endure that the unique nature of the client is addressed.

Obstetrics (OB) Registered Nurse (RN) Position Details:

Full-time
Rotating Weekends
Sunday - Saturday
6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
6:30 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

Obstetrics (OB) Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications and Skills:

State of Tennessee licensure (or eligible) as a Registered Nurse
ACLS required
Previous experience in labor and delivery required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week

Work Location: In person
