Full Job Description

TITLE: Pharmacist Outpatient / Retail
Location: Gratiot, OH

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy and licensed as a pharmacist in Ohio.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining confidentiality.

Hours and Compensation:

One full-time position and one part-time position available:
Operating hours are Mon-Fri 8am-8pm (1 RPh and 3 techs start at 7am), and 9am-5pm on weekends.

RPh's work 1 Saturday every 4 weeks and 1 Sunday every 12 weeks. They schedule multiple RPh's working concurrently to accommodate flexible shift preferences.
The pharmacy fills approximately 1000 prescriptions on Mondays, 700-800 on weekdays, and 250-300 on weekends.

One location open Mon-Fri 9am-7pm, Sat 9am-5pm, closed on Sundays. RPh works varying shifts and one Saturday every four weeks. There are always 2 RPh's scheduled on weekdays plus additional support on busier days.

The pharmacy fills 500-600 prescriptions daily during the week and 150-175 on Saturdays.

Competitive hourly wage ranging from $54.85hr ($114K) to $75hr ($156K), depending on experience. Full benefits package included.

Responsibilities:

Interpret prescriptions and dispense pharmaceuticals in compliance with laws.
Provide patient education and counseling.
Supervise technical staff and demonstrate compassionate care for customers and colleagues.
Review patient information to ensure safe and effective medication use.
Contact prescribers for clarification and verify prescriptions.
Prepare compounded and IV medications.
Manage store operations and oversee staff activities.
Order and maintain pharmaceutical inventory.
Secure building at end of day.
Act as pharmacist in charge when necessary.
