Full Job Description

Manufacturing Accounting Manager | Mineola, NY

Direct Hire | Onsite

We are seeking a direct hire Manufacturing Accounting Manager to serve as a key business partner to executive leadership within a high-performing manufacturing organization. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Business Unit Controller, this role will oversee financial reporting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and accounting operations while supporting strategic business decisions across the organization.

What You'll Do

Lead month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
Manage core accounting functions including general ledger, AP/AR oversight, payroll, lease accounting, and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis, and KPI reporting.
Partner with operations and engineering teams to drive cost control, inventory management, and manufacturing performance.
Analyze inventory reserves, standard costs, labor productivity, and manufacturing variances.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX controls, and corporate reporting requirements.
Support audits, process improvements, and ongoing financial initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
6+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong background in cost accounting, financial analysis, and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
Aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
Knowledge of GAAP, standard costing, inventory accounting, and internal controls.
Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience such as Oracle is a plus.
Strong leadership, communication, and business partnering abilities.

Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder due to government contract requirements in manufacturing facility environment similar to aerospace, defense, or related facilities .
