Responsibilities
Trust and Safety Operations a pivotal team within U.S. Data Security. We strive to enable TikTok to become the most trusted and secure platform in the US through operational excellence in content moderation via innovations in technology, optimization in processes and investment in people. We ensure that we enforce our policies based on our community guidelines and we take appropriate actions in a timely manner to minimize risks on our platform to our users and advertisers. This advanced position involves assessing the quality of performance by moderation sites, reviewing sensitive and graphic content, and ensuring compliance with policies and processes to protect users and the platform. As a Subject Matter Expert at USDS, you will maintain an expert level of policy knowledge, lead site-level and cross-functional engagements, and ensure the integrity and safety of the TikTok platform through regular audits and content assurance work. Responsibilities - Serve as a policy subject matter expert, guiding teams on procedures, app features, and platform integrity while identifying gaps in existing processes and collaborating on solutions leveraging in-depth policy knowledge. - Review TikTok content, including sensitive and graphic material, to enforce policy decisions, maintain user safety, and assess the overall quality of performance across moderation sites to ensure strict compliance with TikTok's policies and processes. - Independently lead complex, department level projects and manage multiple job modules with limited guidance, demonstrating proficiency in resource management, allocation, and problem-solving. - Drive innovation and process improvements by contributing to the development and optimization of policies and procedures, and actively leading calibration sessions and policy review meetings. - Act as a strategic driver, coordinating efforts within and outside of Trust & Safety (TnS) by leading cross-functional engagements and partnering with leadership to ensure organizational alignment and policy compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - 1 year of experience in content moderation, quality assurance, reporting, analytics, or operational excellence; advanced degree preferred in a relevant field. - Demonstrated expertise in QA principles, methods, and tools, combined with exceptional proficiency in qualitative and quantitative analysis to deliver data-driven solutions and lead Training & Quality (TnQ) initiatives. - Deep understanding of policy developments in the media, technology, and entertainment industries, with the ability to translate insights into actionable process improvements. - Strong program and project management skills, with proven ability to manage large-scale projects with abstract problems, adapt to shifting priorities, and maintain a comprehensive framework aligned with organizational goals. - Exceptional communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective cross-departmental partnerships and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - Advanced Proficiency in Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and other Data Management Platforms
