Sales & Marketing Analyst

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Sales & Marketing Analyst is responsible for supporting sales growth and marketing initiatives through data-driven analysis and business insights. This role evaluates customer performance, promotional effectiveness, digital marketing investments, and sales trends to ensure company resources are generating measurable results.

Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Accounting, this position identifies opportunities to improve customer performance, optimize marketing spend, and support strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze customer sales performance, trends, and profitability to identify opportunities for growth.
Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, promotional programs, and digital advertising across multiple platforms including Instacart, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Amazon, Walmart.com, and other retail partners.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports that provide actionable recommendations to management.
Develop and maintain recurring sales, marketing, and customer performance reports.
Assist in forecasting, promotional planning, pricing analysis, and customer business reviews.
Work collaboratively with Sales and Marketing to identify opportunities to increase sales and improve return on marketing investments.
Support trade shows, customer presentations, product launches, and other sales and marketing initiatives.
Maintain accurate records and reporting while ensuring data integrity across multiple systems.
Identify process improvements and develop tools that improve reporting efficiency and decision making.
Perform additional projects and analyses as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Analytics, Economics, or related field preferred.
2-5 years of experience in sales analysis, marketing analytics, consumer products, retail, or a related field preferred.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced analytical tools and data management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate meaningful business insights.
Understanding of retail math, promotional analysis, and sales performance metrics.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated and able to prioritize multiple projects while working independently with minimal supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
Experience with consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, or food manufacturing is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
