Full Job Description

Job Summary

First Choice Imaging is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer focused central scheduler to support our Centralized Scheduling Department for our outpatient imaging (radiology) clinics. This remote role is responsible for handling inbound calls and accurately scheduling patient appointments while maintaining strict confidentiality and excellent patient service.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast paced, production driven environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate appointment scheduling for various medical and dental clinics using EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
Review patient documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy prior to appointments.
Communicate effectively with patients via phone and/or email to confirm appointments, provide instructions, and address scheduling inquiries with excellent phone etiquette.
Maintain accurate records of scheduled appointments, cancellations and reschedules while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize appointment slots based on provider availability and patient needs.
Utilize computer skills to update EMR systems efficiently while maintaining high standards of data entry accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills

Excellent customer service, communication, and phone etiquette
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and meet productivity expectations in a remote setting
Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn medical scheduling software
Knowledge of medical terminology or imaging scheduling preferred
Understanding health insurance processes is a plus
