Full Job Description

2nd Shift available: 2PM to 10PM, Monday thru Friday

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution center, ensuring that materials are handled, stored, and shipped accurately. This position requires a proactive individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Duties

Operate forklifts and cherry pickers to move materials within the warehouse.
Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
Perform order picking tasks, accurately selecting items for shipment based on customer orders.
Build and assemble pallets for shipping, ensuring stability and safety during transport.
Maintain an organized workspace by properly storing materials and keeping the area clean.
Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate.
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Skills

Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
Proficiency in operating forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks safely.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
Experience in a distribution center environment is preferred.
Strong order picking skills with attention to detail for accuracy.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
